Re-Opener Bargaining Tentative Agreement Ratification Details

Now that we have reached a tentative agreement (TA) with UC regarding our salary and professional development, we need to vote to ratify the TA.  Please review the tentative agreements (linked here) for Article 3 Professional Activities and Development and Article 13 Salary.

If the TA is ratified:

All represented librarians will receive a base salary increase of 1.5% retroactive to July 1, 2016
The retroactive pay will be covered by a lump-sum payout
Any general range adjustments given to non-represented academic personnel in 2017 will automatically be matched for members of the bargaining unit, without having to bargain it
The professional development funding for each campus, listed in MOU Article 3D, will increase by 5%

If the TA is NOT ratified:

UC-AFT and UCOP will return to bargaining

Voting will begin on Monday, October 31 at 8am and end Friday, November 4 at 5pm. All Unit17 union members will receive an e-mail on Monday October 31 with instructions on how to cast your ballot. Non-members may join the union and vote on the tentative agreement if the ballot administrator receives the membership form by noon on Friday, November 4.
